E-ratings are
based on the organisational capability of the company to achieve
an ISO 14001 accredited environmental management system, thereby
acting as one indicator of environmental performance. A score is
calculated from an initial review that explores the various elements
of ISO 14001 and the company's environmental awareness. The E-rating
score is a baseline indicator, and through mentoring and guidance
from BBE the business can improve on its performance and increase
the indicator score.
Companies who
achieve an E-rating over 50% in our initial environmental reviews
are eligible for an E-rating Award.
